COLDS (CargO Logistics Data Space) - Espacio de compartición de datos entre los diferentes actores del transporte de mercancías
We are very proud to have the opportunity to collaborate in this project.
What is this project about?
The increasing volume of trade in food products between different continents is accompanied by an increase in the maritime transport of this group of goods. These perishable cargoes are difficult to transport, precisely because of the need to maintain the right parameters throughout the logistics chain.
The need to maintain the right parameters throughout the logistics chain means that these perishable cargoes are difficult to transport. They must be transported and stored under precisely defined conditions, such as temperature, humidity or barometric pressure, as they are very sensitive to all these factors and small fluctuations in temperature can reduce the commercial value of the products or make them unfit for consumption.
Thanks to this data sharing, it is expected to increase the efficiency of the logistics chain, reducing loss rates and food waste.
What is a Data Space?
A Data Space is a framework that supports data sharing within a data ecosystem. It provides a clear structure for participants to share, trade, and collaborate on data assets in a way that is compliant with relevant laws and regulations and ensures fair treatment for all involved.
